AXEMAN MINISTRIES
A Look at Bob Knight
I was born without life in a world without truth. Into the darkness of the world
I grew.
Born to Roman Catholic parents, I was sort of raised in the Catholic Church until
I was about 12 years old. For what ever the reason, at the age of twelve my family stopped going to church.
I was baptized, confirmed, and what ever else the Catholic church requires of you by the time you are twelve.
Between the ages of 12 and 32, I drifted in and out of the Catholic Church without direction. I knew who God
was, and I believed that there was a God. Believing of God, but not knowing about the grace of God.
Never knowing the reality of the Son. Never hearing the good news of Christ. To know ones fault but my own.
I was never introduced to Jesus Christ in a positive manner
until I meet my wife, Tameria (pronounced Tamara). Growing up I was taught that Christians were just a bunch
of wacko's. Believing this, I made fun of anyone who mentioned Christ. I knew Jesus only by using His name in
vain.
Only by the grace of God have I been saved. Born again into the Light of Christ.
When I meet my wife she was attending the Seventh Day Adventist Church. We remained in the SDA
Church for about four years. I was led through studying God's word, independently of the teachings
of the SDA Church, to leave and seek Christ elsewhere. We know attend The Hilltop Community Church in Kuna, Idaho.
Hilltop is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church. I do not consider myself to be of any denomination, but we
have chosen this Church as our home.
I maintain a belief that denominationalism is inherently wrong. I make this statement based on Paul's statement
in 1 Corinthians 1:10-13:
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
For it has been declared to me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
Now this I say, that every one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
Paul makes it perfectly clear to me that we are not to be separated into divisions of Christians.
It is not possible for Christ to be divided, but men have divided themselves. How can the body be divided from the head?
It can not be. The true Church lives among all the denominations of this world.
It is one of my hope's that this wall of separation that we have put up can be brought down.
Every major denomination has many satellite denominations. This is ridiculous. People divide for many reasons, most of these reasons have to do
with non salvation related issues. I have experienced this type of turmoil, and we need to drop the divisions amongst ourselves. Instead, we need to rejoice
in the gospel truth:
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love that he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, has joined us together with Christ, by grace you are saved;
And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace you are saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, so that no man should boast.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:4-10
