Aurora Power & Design , located in Boise, Idaho, is the product of the combined efforts of Mike Leonard and Dave Wilper. These two have been in business together since 1986. Before that Mike was building diesel generator plants (his first 25 years ago) and generators for telecommunication sights. Dave was previously self employed in construction and remodeling. He was an electronic technician for Canon copiers, and served in the US Army as a senior aircraft electrical specialist.
As Aurora Power they have provided alternative power systems for a number of individual homes and cabins, communication sites, critical sites where power must not be interrupted, municipal water pumping systems and water pumping systems for ranches and remote home owners, small hydro plants, as well as many uncommon applications.
They do design and consulting work with individuals, companies, federal, state, local and foreign government agencies and have shipped systems all over the world.
